Crawford Confirms Desire For Canelo Clash

Terence Crawford Open to Canelo Alvarez Fight, Targets Undisputed Triple

Crawford Confirms Desire for Canelo Clash

In a recent interview, WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford expressed his eagerness for a potential bout against pound-for-pound star Canelo Alvarez.
Crawford stated, "If the opportunity presents itself, I'm definitely open to it. Canelo is a great fighter, and I believe it would be a great fight for the fans."

Crawford's Next Target

Before Crawford can consider a clash with Alvarez, he must first overcome Edgar Berlanga in their September 14th bout.
Crawford is confident in his abilities, but acknowledges that Berlanga poses a significant challenge. "He's a young, hungry fighter," said Crawford. "But I've been in this game a long time, and I'm ready for anything."

Crawford's Triple Undisputed Ambition

Beyond the Berlanga fight, Crawford's long-term goal is to achieve an undisputed triple in three weight classes.
"I want to win all the belts at welterweight, then move up to super welterweight and do the same thing," declared Crawford.
"And if Canelo is still the man at that point, I'll be ready to challenge him."

Eddie Hearn's Controversial Comments

Promoter Eddie Hearn has recently made controversial statements regarding Crawford's victory over Israil Madrimov.
Hearn claimed that the judges' scorecards were biased in Crawford's favor, implying that Madrimov should have won the fight.
Crawford dismissed these allegations, stating, "I don't really listen to what other people say. I know I won the fight fair and square."

Crawford's Future Plans

With the Berlanga fight looming, Crawford remains focused on the present.
However, he is optimistic about the future and believes that a potential showdown with Canelo Alvarez is within his reach.
"I'm just taking it one fight at a time," said Crawford. "But I'm confident that I can achieve my goals."
