Bobrovsky Makes 32 Saves for Florida
Sergei Bobrovsky made 32 saves as the Florida Panthers shut out the Edmonton Oilers 3-0 in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final on Sunday night.
Carter Verhaeghe scored twice for the Panthers, while Sam Bennett added a goal and two assists. Bobrovsky was outstanding in goal, stopping all 32 shots he faced.
The Oilers were outshot 35-22 and failed to convert on two power plays. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl were held without a point.
Game 2 of the series is set for Tuesday night in Edmonton.
