Stars coach snaps on reporter following 3-1 playoff loss to Oilers

DeBoer's comments come after Dallas falls behind 3-2 in series

Coach says reporter's question 'was a little bit of a joke'

Dallas Stars head coach Peter DeBoer snapped on a reporter during a post-game press conference following the team's 3-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night.

The Oilers now lead the best-of-seven series 3-2, and DeBoer was not happy with the reporter's question about the team's struggles on the power play.

"I don't know what you want me to say," DeBoer said. "We're not scoring on the power play. We're not generating enough chances. We're not moving the puck well. We're not getting enough shots. We're not getting enough traffic. We're not doing anything well on the power play.

"I don't know what you want me to say. Do you want me to say we're going to score on the power play tomorrow? I don't know. We'll see what happens.

The reporter tried to clarify his question, but DeBoer cut him off.

"I don't know what you want me to say," DeBoer said. "I don't know what you want me to do. I don't know what you want me to change.

"I'm not going to sit here and make excuses. We're not scoring on the power play. We're not generating enough chances. We're not moving the puck well. We're not getting enough shots. We're not getting enough traffic. We're not doing anything well on the power play.

"I don't know what you want me to say. Do you want me to say we're going to score on the power play tomorrow? I don't know. We'll see what happens."

The reporter eventually moved on to another question, but DeBoer's comments left a lasting impression.
