Celtics Cruise to Victory in Game 1
The Boston Celtics got off to a strong start in the NBA Finals, blowing out the Dallas Mavericks 107-89 in Game 1 on Thursday.
Led by Jayson Tatum's 25 points, the Celtics dominated the first half, building a 20-point lead by halftime.
The Mavericks struggled to keep up, shooting just 38% from the field and turning the ball over 15 times.
The Celtics extended their lead in the second half, holding the Mavericks to just 14 points in the fourth quarter.
The win gives the Celtics a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 2 will be played on Sunday in Boston.
